HELP THE HOLLEYS AFTER DANIEL'S ACCIDENT
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Jessica Prude. My cousin Brenda Simmon's son-in-law, Daniel Holley (husband of Rebekah) had
an accident on Sunday. To be clear-I set this Go FundMe account up, and I apparently did it wrong, because when you donate, it says that it will benefit Jessica Prude. Make no mistake-the money will benefit Daniel and Rebekah! Here are Daniel's own words:
I was changing a cable under my truck early Sunday morning. I was working alone like I always do. I thought I had everything set right. Truck in park, brake on, wheels blocked. As soon as I pulled the clip on the cable the truck started rolling backwards. My chest was crushed under the running board and the ground and my guardian angel helped me get my head out just before the tire rolled over me. Extreme pain set in immediately. My phone was several feet away and somehow I was able to get to it. I called Rebekah Simmons Holley to call 911. I honestly thought Sunday was my last day on this earth. I have never felt such pain. My wife and son were my all stars. They did everything that they could for me until help could arrive. I know there were lots of men and women there within minutes to help. I don’t know all of their names but Lincoln County Sheriff’s department, Lincoln County Ambulance and Bonito fire department were my hero’s on Sunday. They are my hero’s because I get to see my wife and kids again and hug them and kiss them.
Currently I am still in an immense amount of pain. I can not move my arms more than a few inches. My back is in so much pain I can barely move. We did an MRI late last night to see if more damage was done than we can tell so far. My sternum is broken and waiting to hear back from the surgeon about wiring me back together. I have several broken ribs and a bleed under my sternum that my drs are watching.
This bed is hard and uncomfortable but it’s more comfortable than a casket.
I still need lots of prayers y’all. Pray for healing and pain management and to get the right answers to get the proper care. Pray for Rebekah who is still getting over her surgery a few weeks ago. Pray for my kids who don’t understand what’s going on and want their lives to get back to normal.
Jessica here:
Daniel is self-employed, which means no income for a few weeks until he gets to the point where he can get back to work. He is a selfless volunteer with youth baseball in Ruidoso as well.
Rebekah works as a nurse, but she recently had shoulder surgery.
Please help the Holley family if you can so they can both concentrate on healing and not worry about money.
Thanks
Jessica
