However, their baby boy, Eli, has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and will require multiple heart surgeries shortly after birth. Eli's first surgery is scheduled just days after his arrival, and he will spend much of his early months at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. With two other young children at home, the Holdens will face significant financial challenges during this difficult time.
