On Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, the Arkansas Razorback football team added a new chapter in its storied history and rivalry with the Texas Longhorns by thrashing the #15 team in the country 40-21.
Texas rode into town as 6.5 favorites over Arkansas, but the Hogs introduced the Horns to the SEC by dominating them on both sides of the ball. Spurred on by a raucous sellout crowd of 75,000 Hog-calling fans, the Razorbacks brought UT back down to earth and sent Bevo and the bovines back to Austin as ground beef with a resounding L!
Overcome with emotion by their team's signature win, the sellout crowd stormed the field as the offense took a knee on UT’s 10 yard line, declining the opportunity to continue running up the score in a show of sportsmanship rarely seen these days.
The following Monday, the SEC issued a $100,000 fine on the Hogs for the postgame celebration.
Let’s rally together to show our support for this football team by raising that $100,000 to show to the world just what we’re all about! If everyone who attended the game gave $1.50, we could pay that fine and have some left over to donate to worthy causes in Razorback nation (or set aside for the next time we storm the field!)
Let’s show college football just how strong Razorback nation is and how deep our pride in this team runs!
