Support the Hoffmeiers in Their Time of Need

On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the Hoffmeier family lost their home in a two-alarm housefire. While Fairfax County Fire and Rescue was able to prevent the fire spreading from the Hoffmeier's end-unit townhome to the other townhomes in the row, the Hoffmeiers have lost everything. Thankfully, all members of the family were evacuated safely, and no civilians or firefighters were injured.
The Hoffmeier family has lived in Burke Centre for 40+ years, and in many ways are pillars in their community. For decades, Jay has advocated for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Jay has dedicated time and resources to programs like the Special Olympics, and even organized, developed, and has sustained a program for individuals with disabilities at Capital Gymnastics. Jay's daughter, Jackie, flourished in such programs as she grew up, and now works at the local Giant. The Hoffmeier family have been parishioners at Nativity Parish in Burke for many years, and their service and dedication to their faith community is inspiring.
As many of us enter this season of joy and generosity, please consider helping the Hoffmeiers in what might be their most challenging and devastating holiday season. #helpthehoffmeiers
