Family home devastated by fires
Donation protected
Update 9/10 from Jordan Hickey (Jason's brother):
To those who have so generously given to Jason’s campaign, thank you. We are forever grateful. You have given Jason and his sons new hope. With all that 2020 has brought our family, this outpouring of support and love feels like a real miracle.
As there continues to be a lot of interest in Jason’s story, and with Jason’s losses totaling over $60,000, we are updating our fundraising goal. If you’ve already donated please disregard this update and thank you again for all that you’ve done for us.
Please stay safe.

-----------
This is my husband and his brother, Jason Hickey, father of three boys. They've just been reunited after Jason went missing in the tragic fires in the Santa Cruz mountains. If he looks like hell, that's because he's just been through it. As the fires consumed his house, he managed to get his kids to safety he but was caught in the firestorms. His truck caught on fire and somehow he made it to a field where he waited out the night.
Jason and his family lost everything - their home, all their belongings, his truck, his tools. As a father who makes his living as a contractor, this is devastating.
We are so grateful he is safe! We need your help to get this family back on their feet. We are still assessing the damage but Jason needs to be able to work to support himself and his family. So right now, anything helps!
Update: we’ve raised our goal in hopes we can get him some tools, clothes, and a used truck for work. Some clothes for the boys too.
