I am Ethan Hertweck's mom. We have been waiting for 14 months for the recovery of our son, who was fighting for freedom for people in a foreign land not his own and went MIA while trying to save his brother from his unit. We were just informed this morning that he has been recovered and the repatriation process has started. This will take a few weeks.
We, as a family of 4, had planned to return there for this process and to escort his remains back to California. We are in need of the funding for this trip we will take in about 2 weeks, and we will also be going to California for his military service and burial with family and friends there, on our return. We need funds to also cover us while we are off work for all of this, as you know, bills and life do not stop and we will be off for approximately 4 weeks. We need these funds very soon as we need to book our hotels and flights as soon as possible. Please share this if you feel led to. We are so thankful for any and all help!
We are relieved that we are FINALLY bringing our son home to be honored and laid to rest.
