On Friday, January 27, 2017, 2-month-old Brianna was asleep and stopped breathing. She was found unresponsive by her father Anthony who performed CPR. Brianna was flown to Rady's Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Brianna has a respiratory viral infection that has traveled to her brain causing small seizures. She has undergone extensive tests as well as 3 spinal taps. An MRI was completed and Brianna has been put in a medical induced coma, the results for the MRI came on Sunday, January 29, 2017 showing signs of brain damage. The severity of the damage in not know, only time will tell if her brain can be repaired. Brianna is breathing on her own and continues to be very strong, she is a fighter!  

Brianna’s parents Anthony and Nicole continue to stay in the hospital with Brianna, giving their love and support to her. Their other two children Jayden and Jason are at home being taken care of by their grandpa, aunt and uncles.

In this overwhelming time for the Herrera family the continued love and prayers are greatly appreciated. We are asking for any support to help them, so they can continue to worrying only about Brianna.
