Help the Henniger Family
Donation protected
Friends and Family, a family very close to all of us is in need of our help. Eric and Tina Henniger's 10 1/2-month-old daughter Selena has unexpectedly had multiple trips to the ER, their family pediatrician, along with long stays at the hospital. Unfortunately, and due to no fault of their own, this has affected their family not only emotionally but financially. They also have three other very active children they have had to take time away from, as well as their jobs.
Eric and Tina are greatly involved in the community, and have always supported those around them. I feel as you would agree that now is the time for us to rally around them. This is our opportunity to give back to a family that has given so much to others.
We are organizing a fundraiser to help ease the financial burden that has come with Selena's medical needs. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and will allow Eric and Tina to focus on what truly matters—the health and well-being of their daughter.
Please join us in showing our love and support for the Henniger family during this challenging time. Your generosity will not only help them financially, but it will also remind them that they are not alone in this journey.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion. Below is the most recent update of Selena's condition.
We are at it again with my baby girl ❤️
Friday night we took her to Camden because she just wasn’t acting correctly and had been fevered again with diarrhea for two days. She tested positive for Covid and Rhino (cold virus). We went home and kept a close eye on her.
On Saturday morning we found out her stool still had salmonella but now also had norovirus. Despite all these things, she was minimally fevered all day and was doing fine. I worked all day and she stayed home with daddy.
Last night, she had an episode where she had seizure-like activity, quit breathing and turned blue. Completely blue. I did chest compressions and one of our friends who was around gave her a couple breaths and she started to come to. We were transported by squad to MMH.
So far her testing is good. She has had a pretty low temperature, 96-97 so they are hoping it doesn’t have to do with more blood infection but it does seem to be rising some. Everyone is having trouble getting an IV in her so we are not sure of the plan for that.
As of now, she is being a wonderful happy little girl, as if nothing happened last night to cause alarm. Thank god I was surrounded by friends last night for support. It was the scariest moment of my entire life. Everyone is unsure at this point what caused this. But we know her little body is going through a lot.
- we had excellent care last night at MMH main campus. Dr Phillips and his team were exceptional. Our EMT team was also wonderful.
For now it’s hospital food and door dash in Akron for a couple days minimum❤️ and hopefully a little rest❤️
