On March 19, Brady Henkelman was struck by a car running a red light while he was riding his motorcycle. He suffered multiple devastating injuries as a result of this accident. Brady endured several surgeries over the following week. The initial surgery lasted 16+ hours. As a result of all the surgeries, he was left with a left leg amputation, extensive nerve damage in his right leg, and broken bones to mention just a few. Originally he was at University of California Irvine Hospital. After approximately a month stay there, Brady has moved forward to a rehab center. Here, he will undergo intense physical and occupational therapy for an extended period of time.
This unfortunate event has placed a huge emotional and financial burden on the entire Henkelman family. The individual who struck Brady did not have car insurance. All the money donated will go to the Henkelman family to help Brady through this ordeal. The funds raised here will help with medical bills. Also, Mike and Kathy are traveling to and from California to help Brady with everything. The funds would also help with travel, lodging, and food so they can continue to aid Brady in his recovery.
There is a long road ahead that will include extensive care and therapy. Every little bit that individuals can donate would be greatly appreciated.
