I updated this for Loo's Gotcha day on 8/10!!! We are celebrating 5 years of demonic possession!!!! Let's try to make the goal!
Anything left over will be donated to charity!!! We know how Vanessa is with these things, it's always about the dogs, but we love the entire hen house so lets make magic happen to get everyone set up with vetting and take some stress off of Vanessa who battled 9/11 related cancer during the pandemic. She deserves this more than anyone else! She literally never asks for anything and is always helping everyone else out. Think about all of the pages that ask for money for rent, cable bills, furniture, etc; you NEVER see any of that on this page because she is the real deal, and thats why she deserves all of the kindness and support we can provide! Most people would've been begging for money when they had cancer, but Vanessa didn't even tell anyone until she got good results from her second petscan and still didn't ask for anything, in fact she managed to help fund the pet food pantry and got the 2 little rescue kittens a home. Vanessa is seriously superwoman and an amazing lady who entertains us all with her great story telling and sense of humor. Let's get this done for our Hen House Pals! I know I love them and so do you, they're the greatest!!!! Thanks to everyone who contributed and supported my efforts to do something nice for this amazing little family. xox Stalker Nancy
It's Chickie's Gotcha Day on 7/17!!!!
Vanessa has helped countless needy animals over the years; all the while graciously and kindly helping people struggling to pay for their pets medical bills or end of life care along with ensuring pets get an appropriate send off to the rainbow bridge. Those of you who have followed Vanessa for years you understand her deep commitment, endless generosity and genuine kindness to animals and people in need. Vanessa has done more to help needy animals with her tireless support or rescues and spearheading events such as the Skechers Dog Walk for Shelter Pets, Girl Scout toy and treat drives, Food drive, and even sewing events to benefit the animals effected by the wild fires in Australia and managed to get a team of people together to make blankets and beds for shelter pets. Vanessa has touched many with her philanthropic spirit, she actively listens and helps people who message her asking for nutrition advice, lioncloth tutorials, and some are just seeking a friend.
Vanessa does so much for so many and never asks for anything in return. She battled cancer during the pandemic however found time to raise money for the local pet food pantry by putting together an incredible gift basket that she personally purchased items for, she even entered a silly cutest pet contest and battled endless trolls to help ensure that families had access to pet food so they did not surrender their animals during this difficult time. Vanessa didn't let anyone know that she was sick, she wasn't seeking sympathy or help from others and despite being barely able to walk or write from the neuropathy that occurred as a side effect of chemo, she made sure that the card campaign happened because so many people were looking forward to this yearly tradition. Vanessa bought the cards, and stamps and mustered all of her strength to make sure this happened so Tony's followers weren't let down. It took a toll on her but in typical Vanessa fashion it's not about her, it's about the animals and it's about bringing joy to all of her friends on this page. Over and over Vanessa gives and never asks for anything in return, she is truly a kind unassuming person with minimal expectations from others, she does these things because she knows it's the right thing to do. Vanessa has integrity and a refreshing honesty that is very rare in the world we live in. She is an exceptional human being!!!
I had a conversation with Vanessa this evening, I learned how concerned about her pets she was because she was worried about finances due to not being able to work her second job as a behavior therapist (which is her dog money) during the pandemic but she said she would "figure it out or try to take on extra hours or just charge it and pay it off over time". We all know Vanessa takes her dogs to the vets yearly but due to circumstances, her having cancer/the pandemic she prioritized Nala Marie who displayed kidney issues.
The reality is Vanessa is not well enough to take extra hours and with 4 dogs in need of medical she is looking at a gigantic bill. I know that for Tony's birthday Vanessa always does a fundraiser for a rescue group to help animals in need but maybe this year we can help Vanessa by raising her money to pay for the vet bills of our beloved hen house. For starters, Tony, Loo, and Danny have not been in for full blood work and a complete exam with urine and fecal tests since before the pandemic this is approximately $650 each dog plus any medications or additional tests required at the local vet. Danny will likely need some sort of scan on his brain to check for any changes and dental if he is cleared for it, this is at least another 2k-5k depending upon if its a CT Scan or a full MRI at Animal Medical Center, dental will be done local to save money. Then of course as you might remember the fiasco when Eloise was diagnosed with mitro valve disease and needs a follow up echocardiogram at the cardiologist at Blue Pearl, this will likely entail new blood work and X-rays and medication, this visit will likely run around 2k if not more if she is cleared for dental due to her heart condition.
Vanessa does not know I am doing this for her, if anyone deserves it, it is her. Vanessa literally never asks for anything for herself and she is always generously helping others even when battling cancer and being disabled from the chemo induced neuropathy. Vanessa doesn't complain, she doesn't beg for sympathy, she selflessly helps everyone else and puts herself last all of the time.
I am sure whatever is left over she will donate to animals in need because we all know this is just how she is... but maybe this year for Chicks birthday we can actually do something to help the hen house instead of helping others since they always help so many and they are in need of help themselves. Vanessa would move mountains to make sure her pets are cared for but maybe we can come together to make this mountain a little smaller for such a kind, selfless, truly genuine, good person that inspires all of us to be a better person and has a provided us with endless laughs and friendship. Vanessa would never ask for help, and when she helps others she does so without expecting anything in return, and sadly many don't even offer a thank you but despite that she does it because she knows it's the right thing to do. Let's do this for Vanessa and the Hen House for Chickies gotcha day on 7/17. We only have a few weeks to get this done, I hope we can do it!
Please if you can write something in the note that she has done to have a positive impact on your life, it would be an enormous help. Vanessa needs her spirits raised because she is truly having a hard time, especially with the limited mobility and constant pain she lives in from the chemo induced neuropathy. You would never know how much she has suffered this past year but still managed to make us all laugh and smile. Let's do this for Mama Chick and the hen house.
Thank you for taking time to read this. I want this to be a surprise so I am posting it late, but please share and donate if you can. Vanessa deserves all of the love and support we can give her, and don't worry I am on the case still stalking Chickie from dusk to dawn. Thanks so much! Love, Stalker Nancy and the Stalker Crew.
