Help the Hedlund's After Devastating House Fire
Donation protected
The Hedlund family recently made the move to Danny’s childhood home in Bloomington, where Val and Keith raised Danny and David. It was the start of an exciting new chapter for Danny and Emily, along with their 2 1/2-year-old son Ozzy and 6-month-old daughter Pearl. But on the evening of Sunday, January 19th, everything came to an abrupt halt when their home was devastated by a fire. The house they worked so hard to make their own, along with all their belongings, has been tragically destroyed. Thanks to a kind firefighter, Emily was able to retrieve her purse, her precious frozen breastmilk and her mother's urn from when she unexpectedly passed away in 2023.
During this incredibly difficult time, we want to come together and help ease their burden as they begin to rebuild not only their physical home, but their lives. Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in helping them recover and move forward. Monetary donations will go towards supporting unpaid leave from work for both Emily and Danny during this time, health insurance costs while on leave and loss adjuster and legal fees to name a few. At this moment, due to limited space in their temporary home, they aren’t able to accept physical donations of toys, books, or clothes. However, we will keep you updated if and when that changes, and we’ll organize a way to accept those donations when they are able to.
Please consider supporting this wonderful family in their time of need. Your generosity and kindness will provide them with hope as they navigate through this heartbreaking situation. Thank you for your compassion and support.
