Help the Hebert-Johnsons with Andrew's recovery.

Donation protected
Friends and family of the Hebert-Johnsons and Revelers everywhere!

On June 29, Andrew was in a terrible car crash about three miles from the family’s farmhouse in Maine. Thankfully, he was wearing a seat belt, but he still suffered severe injuries to his head, spine, neck, face, ribs, and chest. Andrew was transported to Maine Medical Center where he remained in the ICU for the next several weeks. During that time, he underwent abdominal surgery, a tracheotomy, and facial reconstruction. Andrew is still receiving care at Maine Medical Center and is anxiously awaiting transfer to a rehabilitation facility in the Boston area.

Here are some things we know about Andrew’s present condition:

He is …

• Able to move his limbs.

• Not suffering from neurological damage.

• Off a ventilator and breathing on his own through a tube.

• Now able to speak minimally through his trachea tube after three weeks of being unable to talk at all.

• Out of the ICU and on an intermediate care floor.

• Able to walk a few steps -- this has been VERY difficult and painful.

As if the pandemic weren’t enough, life as they knew it for the Hebert-Johnsons has come to a grinding halt. Lynda, LaRayne, Sarah, and Matt have been able to visit with Andrew one -- maybe two -- at a time. They drive two hours each way to the hospital from their farmhouse. It has been agonizing for them to watch as Andrew battles his way to recovery. And, if you know Andrew, you know that he is a fighter. That said, Andrew and the whole family are in for a long period of recuperation.

If you know any of the Hebert-Johnsons, you know they would do anything for you or anyone else. So, as friends of Lynda, LaRayne, Andrew, and Sarah’s, we want to return the favor and do the same for them, especially for Andrew. That is why we want to help Andrew with this GoFundMe campaign. Our goal is to raise $50,000. Here is what your contributions will do:

• Help defray Andrew’s medical expenses not covered by insurance.

 • Offset Andrew’s lost income during his long recovery.

• Help defray other medical expenses, including transportation for the family,    doctor appointment co-pays, and multiple trips in an ambulance.

We understand what a trying time this is for everyone. But, our friends need us -- Andrew needs us. Please consider making a donation, however small, to pay back the love and support we have always counted on from the Hebert-Johnsons. Please be aware that when making donations via GoFundMe, recipients will be charged an additional 2.9% + $.30 per transaction. If you prefer to donate directly, you can use PayPal via this link:  . If you can’t make a monetary contribution, write a note of support to Andrew. Your love and encouragement will aid him in his recovery.
