I am making this fundraiser for a family very close to me. The mother is my best friend Elizabeth Carabez. Her son Ariel was born with a very rare heart condition, and they are currently unable to cover medical finances for him. Finances need to be payed out of pocket at the moment. This is her summary of her son's current situation:

"Ariel was born January 17th, 2021, he was born with two severe congenital heart defects known as Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome, and an underdeveloped aortic arch. Which essentially means he only has half a heart.
He was born in Boise at Saint Alphonsus, where he was kept in the NICU for 5 days.
On January 22, 2021 he was life flighted to Las Vegas Nevada and arrived at Sunrise Children’s hospital. There he will receive the first out three open heart surgeries.
The first surgery, a stent will be placed to keep the fetal vessel open. Second surgery, he will receive at couple months of age, where a full reconstruction of the aortic arch will happen. The estimated recovery time is 4 weeks. Which during the time there will be no income coming into the household.
Mom is staying at the hospital, and Ariels life flight for out of state travel will be out of pocket expenses."
