To our friends and community,
We are kindly asking for donations to help fund the Hazel Room through this forced closure. After nearly 9 years the Hazel Room temporarily closed its doors in compliance with the governor’s Covid 19 response orders. Currently we are unable to sustain business on delivery or takeout without incurring further losses and it seems unlikely that insurance will be of any help at this point. We have opted to furlough our staff in hopes to bring them all back if we are able to reopen. The choice to furlough means that we committed to paying out all remaining accrued sick leave to our staff in order to help them make it through this difficult time. We are now facing the ongoing costs of product loss, holding onto our lease, and paying utilities. With no business income and uncertainty as to the length of this closure we are reluctantly reaching out to our community to help us. Your contribution may make the difference between bouncing back after this forced closure or closing our doors for good. If you would like to help the Hazel Room re-open for our community, customers and staff by making a donation we would be sincerely grateful.
