The father of three wonderful children, husband, and Grand Ledge local coach needs your help. It is agonizing to share this tragedy that has imposed upon his family. Todd Hastings has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in multiple location throughout his body. As you can imagine this has rocked their family.
Todd is beloved by his many friends, and athletes for his enthusiasm, and love of sports. Todd grew up in Mason, Michigan and moved to Grand Ledge with his family in 2008. He is an owner of a landscaping business but enjoys spending his time coaching around town. A few of the sports he coaches is basketball, football, and lacrosse. Not only has he supported his town with coaching but is included on many boards and committees. As you can imagine this diagnosis will have a detrimental effect on the ability to do what he has always done. This will not only stop him from providing financial support and stability for his family but take away many memories as his kids grow up. This is very difficult time while he fights this battle.
Todd is beginning Chemotherapy treatment at Sparrow Hospital. During this time, he will be very fatigue but his positive attitude and will to live is inspiring. In addition, the family is hopeful that Todd will have many more beautiful years together raising three strong, passionate, and loving children with his wife, Cori Hastings.
What am I asking for?
‘Strength in Numbers.’ In a group, far more can be done compared to something alone. The loss of income, along with the growing medical bills not covered by insurance, has made it necessary to ask for help. I hope by setting up this Go Fund Me page over the next six months we can help support the family. By showing him your support creates a stress-free environment during this time. This will allow him a more positive outlook to bounce back onto his feet again after treatment. Any money raised will be used directly to support the family.
The family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, and it is this love that keeps them strong, present, and grateful as they navigate through this challenge. They thank you for the ongoing support on this important journey, one that has already brought more love and growth into their lives than they ever imagined.
