The Hassan family has been part of my life for many years now. I consider these girls my family. They take care of everyone around them and take care of each other. Recently, they've come under tough circumstances and they could now use the help. The mother, Zeina, a single mom who supports all four of her girls who are Maryam, Saraa, Ayah and Amira. Zeina is the main income provider while three of the girls do work to help pitch in for rent and other neccesities needed to live in today's society. One of her daughters, Ayah (who is pictured sitting in the middle), is in need of a kidney transplant. Lucky for them, their mom was a match.
However, this means that the family is now losing two incomes and Maryam and Saraa will also be needing to take time off work to assist caring for their mom and Ayah. They will be having surgery in the beginning of May but Zeina and Ayah will not be able to return back to work for 3 months due to the care that will be needed for Ayah. The money being raised is going to be used to help them pay mainly rent and groceries, and what ever is left will cover a very small portion of a very big medical bill. Every cent counts and is greatly appreciated.
