On January 8th, my dear friends Ashley, Chris, their three children, and their beloved pets, an emotional support dog and a turtle—were forced to flee with only the clothes on their backs as the devastating Eaton Fire tore through Altadena. Their home is still unsafe to return to, and their children’s school was tragically destroyed.
Ashley, a dedicated stay-at-home mom, and Chris, who works tirelessly with children on the autism spectrum, have spent their lives giving to others. Now, they find themselves in a position where they need help but struggle to ask for it. Their immediate needs include food, shelter assistance, and support for their beloved pets who are a vital part of their family.
This family, known for their kindness and selflessness, is now facing immense hardship. They need our help to rebuild their lives and find stability during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support them in meeting basic needs and beginning to recover from this life-altering event.
I am asking from the bottom of my heart for help as a friend to the family before they became a family, a best friend to Ashley for 27 years, a person who loves Chris as a brother, the godmother to their beautiful kids, and someone who has seen this family help and care for others even when it took from them. Your compassion and generosity can bring hope and relief to a family that has already lost so much and whose lives will never be the same. Thank you so much!
