Helping the Harney’s through Tough Times

This past year has not been kind to the Harney's. Yet they’ve handled every curveball with the utmost grace. Alyson has faced a series of serious health challenges, and after a long and painful battle, she is now spending her final days in palliative care for advanced ovarian cancer.

She has been in and out of the hospital for most of the year. Bless her heart—her body has been through hell. Yet, she rarely complains and somehow still manages to crack jokes and keep others smiling.

Daniel’s company dissolved his department two months ago, leaving them—a family of five—with no income. In the midst of so much emotional and physical hardship, this financial burden has added another weight to carry.

Alyson and Daniel, members of the Westridge community, are raising three beautiful children they adopted to build their family—one filled with love and purpose. There are no people with bigger hearts or a more open home than the theirs.

They are in need of our help. Please consider contributing anything you can to help them through these next few months. Your support will allow Daniel to be fully present with Alyson during her final days, and ease the heavy financial pressure he’s facing.

The Harney’s have taken in almost all of us at some point—to feed us, house us, and fill our lives with joy and laughter. Now it’s our turn. Let’s step up and show them our appreciation. Show them they are loved, cared for, prayed for.
