Help the Hardman's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Hello lovely people!
This fundraiser is for my sister from another mister, Jovia, and her little family... specifically for my dear friend and her husband, Shawn.

Around the time they were due for their 1st baby, Asher, Shawn suddenly became extremely ill. He barely had enough energy to hold his son, let alone care for him. Jovia received some help from family to care for Shawn and Asher while they were living in Ohio, thankfully. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong the whole time they were in Ohio and Shawn's condition rapidly deteriorated. They began treating him for Aplastic Anemia, advising he would need a bone marrow transplant, but the diagnosis was uncertain. After a certain point it became evident they needed to move back to Utah because Shawn needed full-time medical support, but Jovia was already working full-time to support them financially and taking care of Asher.

However, after moving back the doctors went back to square one, starting their research over completely, since any findings from before were from a different facility in another state. They took back his previous diagnosis because they weren’t sure what was causing him to be so ill and have such low blood levels. They tried numerous treatments that made Shawn's physical and mental state fluctuate, with some of his organs even starting to deteriorate.

Finally after having been sent to experts around the world, they came to the conclusion that he does need a bone marrow transplant-a treatment that has a high probability of success for Aplastic Anemia and Short Telomere Syndrome. His diagnosis is still uncertain, but this treatment is currently his best chance to move forward. He has been patiently waiting to heal so that he can be there for his son and wife and continue to live a full, healthy life. Fortunately, they have a donor, but are still waiting to be able to get the procedure done. This is due to his body needing to re-stabilize from the previous treatments they attempted before he can get the bone marrow transplant. Shawn was recently admitted to the ER and needs to stay there for a few days before he can come back home.

An update from Shawn:
This season of my life has been the most difficult I’ve ever endured. I will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant (BMT) come January 13th, 2022 for multiple autoimmune diseases and short telomeres. I have also been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis as well as Avascular Necrosis in my hip and will need to be replaced after the transplant.. I am terrified to say the least, but I am grateful to have the support I do in my life.
Since I received this update Shawn's sister/donor has contracted covid19, so they may need to postpone the transplant again. Please keep sharing the link to keep the ball rolling!

They have been going through multiple hoops with what seems like endless trials and tribulations to determine how to heal him. With only one income and a child to provide for, they are in immediate need of assistance with medical bills and other bills to pay for. I love this family dearly and hope this can help support them through this crisis. They are so strong and I'm heartbroken they've been going through this for such a long time. They deserve all the good things that I hope will come to them now and in the future.
It's understandable if all you can donate is $5, since we are all going through this pandemic currently, but even sharing this link will help get the world out at least! Anything helps and is deeply appreciated.

1st admittance to the hospital after collapsing.
Some of the most beautiful souls I've had the pleasure of knowing.
