The Harding Family Needs Your Help: Lost Everything in the Eaton Fire
Dear family, friends, and community,
I'm Nathan Mohle, and I’m the nephew of Alan and Denise Harding. On the morning of Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, the Harding family—my aunt Denise, uncle Alan, and cousins Hannah, Jackie, and Lauren—experienced an unimaginable loss when their home was tragically destroyed in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. With little warning, they had to flee the house, escaping with only the clothes on their backs and their beloved dog Ivy.

Denise and Alan were both born and raised in Altadena, and their love story began at John Muir High School in the early 1970s. Together, they built a beautiful life, purchasing their first and only home on Santa Anita Avenue in Altadena, California in their twenties. This American Bungalow, built in the early 1900s, was their dream home. Over the years, they poured their hearts and souls into making it a special place, raising their daughters Lauren and Jackie there, and later welcoming their niece Hannah to live while she pursued work and school in Pasadena.

The Harding family home was the center of our family gatherings—a place where laughter, music, dancing, and love filled the rooms. It was where we celebrated birthdays, holidays, milestones, and shared life’s most precious moments. The family was eagerly looking forward to hosting their grandson Nikola's first birthday party just days from now, as well as their daughter Jackie’s wedding in May. But now, the home where all these memories were made has been reduced to ash.

The loss of this home—a piece of our family’s history—is devastating. A part of us feels like it was lost with it. As the Harding family begins the long process of rebuilding their lives, they need help—your help. We are asking for donations to support the Harding Family through this GoFundMe fundraiser. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference as they try to piece their lives back together. Thank you for your generosity and support during this heartbreaking time. Your kindness means the world to the Harding family and all of us who love them.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can help this incredible family rebuild after this unimaginable tragedy.
