My name is MacKenna Hanson, and I'm starting this GoFundMe with my family in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

We are from Asheville, North Carolina, and our community has been completely devastated by this natural disaster. My mother has lost her livelihood and both of my parents have had to evacuate from our home for an unknown amount of time. Both my parents are displaced and have a pet to care for, our beautiful dog Howie. My sisters and I are doing what we can to help, but we are currently scattered around the country as full-time low-income college students.

As climate refugees, we need money to pay for food, water, transportation and housing. Please consider donating and helping the Hanson family get back on our feet.
