Help the Hanselman's Rebuild

Story

Our parents (Ben and Karen Hanselman) were awakened early Tuesday morning to smoke and fire in their house. Thankfully, they both got out quickly and safely, with our beloved golden Buddy. The house quickly caught flame and within ten minutes the entire house was engulfed in fire. All they managed to get out was their car, a purse, and the clothes they were wearing. Everything else they owned was destroyed or damaged by the fire, which totaled their entire home. We are so grateful to God for their safety and health, and their hopeful spirits throughout this trial. We are also so appreciative of the love and compassion so many have already poured out to them in gifts, prayers, and encouragement. They have begun the journey of recovery and rebuilding, but this journey will be a long one. Throughout the next year they will have many costs and challenges as they search for an affordable place to live as their home is rebuilt, and will need to replace any essential items that were destroyed in the fire. This is all so recent and unexpected, and we are still figuring out what the total costs and needs will be throughout the upcoming year. As a result, we will continue to update you with news, needs, and praises in the year to come. However, we wanted to set up this fundraiser for our parents now, as we know many have already asked about how they can best support our mom and dad. We encourage you to give what you can, reach out to Ben and Karen to express your love and encouragement to them, and to pray for them during this unexpected season of life.
