With all this getting thrown their way, the bills are coming quickly, with more on the way. Any bit helps them focus on Gretchen and her care instead of worrying about bills. ❤️
A post directly from Gretchen:
This is a difficult post for me to make, as I tend to shy away from sharing personal details with many people, but my husband felt I should make this post to let my friends and family know what our family is going through right now.
I was recently diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor – it is a little larger than a golf ball in size and is located in my right frontal lobe. This was found by accident when I was having another test done, so I am very thankful that they found it.
I will be undergoing brain surgery to remove it in a few weeks at United Hospital. My Neurosurgeon is one of the best and is fairly optimistic that it is benign, but will know for sure after they biopsy it following the surgery.
I will be in the hospital 5-7 days and then have a 4-6 week recovery period at home if all goes well and no complications arise.
I am blessed & thankful I have such a wonderful husband & family who will be with me throughout my recovery.
I am a strong person, but this is a difficult thing to go through, especially with so many unknowns in the future. I am trying to stay positive that all will work out and this will be a happy, successful surgery and recovery with no future issues.
