Help the Hango's
Donation protected
One summer day that put it all into action, our dear friend Zachery Hango had a terrible accident working on the family farm just outside Wilkie, Saskatchewan. An auger caught his leg, and he received serious injuries. He was airlifted to Saskatoon, where the physicians operated and amputated the foot.
Zach is not just a Lakeland College student. He's a proud farm boy from Wilkie — hardworking, dependable, and determined. He's also a friend who always seems to be there when you need him. You always find Zach's wheezing laugh ringing down the halls at Lakeland — something that brightens up everyone's day. Whether at school or in the trenches, Zach is high-energy, dedicated, and has a heart of gold.
Now, he needs our support.
Zach has a difficult and long journey in front of him: multiple surgeries, rehab for months, emotional recovery, and how to cope with a prosthetic. The financial concerns are significant — especially for a student. In Canada, it costs anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 dollars for a prosthetic foot, depending on the model and technology. That does not include hospital bills, travel, rehab, or replacement every few years.
We're raising funds to help Zach cover:
* A very good prosthetic foot
* Ongoing medical and rehab costs
* Travel and accommodation for follow-up visits
* Education and living costs while he recuperates
Zach has supported his friends, his university, and his community through thick and thin — now it's our turn. Every donation helps. And if you can't donate money, please share this page.
Let's get Zach back on his feet again — and remind him he's not alone on this journey.
Thanks for your support.
