They say moving is one of the most stressful life events. Now imagine you uproot your family, your three young children, move 1,000+ miles, and find out the truck carrying all of your earthly posessions rolls over in a terrible accident and you lose everything. Every. Thing.

Then find out the moving company has a policy that pays out ten cents....TEN CENTS...per pound. That equals roughly $800 to replace everything you own. No other insurance, including homeowners, covers the loss. Without our help the Hams would have to rebuild their entire home for under $1,000.
Much of what we build in our homes with our families is irreplaceable. Memories, photographs, keepsakes. We like to say "it's just stuff," but it is our life, the small things that comfort our kids, the big things that make our house a home. Much of what the Hams have lost is not replaceable, but there is good news, so much of it is. Furniture, appliances, rugs, clothing. We often hear of a tragedy and say, "I wish I could do something," "I feel so helpless." The great news is, in this instance, we CAN do something. The Hams have lost roughly $100,000 worth of items on the moving truck and it is our job to step in an help them regain the tangible components of what they lost.
For those of us that know Natalie we know her to be generous, kind, and humble. Someone who gives selflessly to others without ever asking for anything in return. We rarely have time to show people what they mean to us, to repay the generosity we have been shown. We now have that chance. Please give what you can, whether it be $5, $50, $500 to help this beautiful, deserving family rebuild their life.
As time passes and clarity comes there will undoubtedly be other ways we can help and show support to the Hams, but right now, they need cash, they need the freedom to prioritize and pick out what THEY need to begin this long process and provide the kind of warm home their children deserve.
