Help the Hammonds fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Chelsea Hammond is a 34 year old mother of 3 young kids (Sophia 7, Selah 5, Josiah 3), a pastor's wife, a Speech Language Pathologist, and musician. In the fall of 2014 she and her husband, planted a church while she was pregnant with Josiah. That following spring, when she was 7.5 months pregnant, she had a grand mal seizure, which led doctors to discover a racquetball sized tumor in her left frontal lobe (the speech and language area). Josiah was born March 9th, 2015 via c-section, and the tumor was removed 2 days later. She was diagnosed with a grade 2 oligoastrocytoma. A year later, she hit her head, which led to an outbreak of a skull infection at the surgery site. She then had 4 more surgeries and 2 rounds of PICC line antibiotics all within 5 months to fight it. Since October 2016, she had been tumor and infection free.
On September 11th, her quarterly MRI revealed new tumor growth, this time spreading to the right frontal lobe as well. She will have to undergo 6 weeks of daily radiation and a year of chemotherapy, starting in January 2019.
Dave works full time as a pastor of a small church, and works the early morning shift at UPS. Chelsea has been a stay at home mom since Josiah was born. It is already difficult for them to make ends meet, and manage family and church obligations. 2019 will bring a drastic increase in medical bills and appointments. I'm asking anyone and everyone to please consider donating whatever you can to help the Hammond family focus on fighting cancer, healing, and making memories; instead of worrying about medical bills and whether they can make ends meet. No donation is too small, and every cent will be going directly to Chelsea and her family. If you can't afford a donation right now, please consider sharing this campaign to gain as much support as possible. Thank you so much for blessing them with your support and prayers.
