Hi, my name is Alice Kear and I want to raise money for my brother Travis Hamilton and his sweet family to purchase a new or “new to them” vehicle.
On the morning of June 24th, their 18 year old son and oldest daughter were held at gunpoint in the parking lot of Food City in Mesa, Arizona after purchasing chocolate milk. The man pointing the gun, along with a woman, proceeded to steal their Tahoe and leave the family emotionally disturbed and devastated. We are so grateful our precious family members were physically unharmed.
Police found the Tahoe deserted in Casa Grande on June 26th in a destructive and irreparable condition. The thieves painted the Tahoe with white ceiling paint, switched out the license plates with other stolen plates, smashed windows, ripped seats, pulled out electric wiring, stole an infant car seat, stripped my nephews wallet of all its contents and has left the family now feeling completely violated and saddened by the destruction and tragic loss of an asset that has been a part of their family for almost as long as they’ve had children.
Insurance did not cover any of the damages due to liability coverage only. They used this vehicle for their business. Due to the high prices of new and used vehicles it is going to be difficult to afford a replacement.
Travis is one of the most generous and hard working people around. He loves to serve and would give anyone the shirt off his back, literally. He is a small business owner which has already suffered so much over the past year due to adverse impacts caused by the covid pandemic and he has tried to find every creative way he can to provide for his family. Many of you have at least one of his beautiful paintings hanging on a wall in your home from these creative efforts. Travis and Rebekah are very humble and frugal with their money. If you have the ability to help with any size of contribution, we would all greatly appreciate it.
