Help the Halls rebuild after hurricane Helene
Donation protected
On behalf of Kaitlen and Justus Hall, my name is Monika C. Carter. I am making this in hopes to help some super special people in my life. I’ve known them since Kaitlen and I were 18 working at Starbucks and Justus her boyfriend at the time was in a band.
As you may or may not know, so many families and people were affected by Hurricane Helene.
In St. Pete’s bayside neighborhood, Edgemoor, adjacent to infamously flood-prone Shore Acres, they saw upwards of 4ft of storm surge flooding from the Tampa Bay.
Kaitlen and Justus had just settled into their new home. They have been putting effort, time, and love into making it their own: fencing, custom DIY work, abundant plants, and even a future nursery for the newborn expected in March. They have been impacted by the surge and wind, but mostly surge and sewage flooding throughout their (new and first) home.
Gratefully, they have a place to stay while the home is renovated, which includes, but is not limited to, replacing the entire AC unit, drywall and mold cleanup and repair, refinishing flooring throughout (if possible) (luckily they found original hardwood underneath), replacing furniture, and brand new appliances. The list goes on. It’s hard to know what you need until you need it. So instead of a wishlist or specific needs upon ask, this will go directly to them to put towards renovations, living costs, baby/nursery necessities, etc.
Any help is incredibly appreciated and so meaningful. We value having a village and the support to rally around this beautiful young family that deserves so much for all the love, laughs, and memories they give all of us who are lucky to know them.
