Help the Halls after near death Xmas Eve Incident

This year, Glen and Beth Hall and their daughter Sloan were looking forward to spending the holidays together. Like many other families, the Halls had faced their share of trials in the last few months. Glen had recently lost his job, Beth was placed on disability after an unsuccessful spinal surgery, and Sloan's long-term boyfriend deployed overseas for an undetermined amount of time. Beth in particular had been struggling with her physical and mental health, and their difficulties culminated on Christmas Eve.

 

While trying to protect his wife, Glen was shot in the leg, nicking his femoral artery. Witnessing everything, his daughter Sloan immediately leapt into action, pulling the hoodie off of her back to tie a tourniquet around his leg while calling 911. Within minutes, Glen had turned gray, and paramedics arrived just in time to save his life. Left sitting in a pool of her father's blood, Sloan and Glen were separated, and the last thing he was told before being taken to the hospital was that his daughter's actions were the reason he was still alive.

 

Glen was rushed to the emergency department at Virginia Beach General Hospital where he received a transfusion of more than 2 liters of blood. He is currently fighting to keep his leg and prevent infection or blood clots. Beth is also in the hospital with no major injuries.

 

Glen is currently without insurance until the New Year and a new job, and bills, medical and otherwise, are piling up quickly. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing when he will be able to work again.
