Help the Hallcox Family - Updated 2025

Donation protected
My name is Amy Eaton, I'm a close friend of Sandy Hallcox and am grateful to know Jason Hallcox as friend, too. Many of you know Jason has been in the hospital several times since 10/29/24. Please read on to understand what they've been through, and how you can be praying.

He has had an arduous journey, and this most recent battle has been bewilderingly hard. This past Saturday 1/25/25, his right leg was amputated. One day after his daughter Eden was married. Jason joined the service via FaceTime to give Eden away, and Sandy shared a beautiful speech later that Jason had sent. Unbeknownst to all of us there, Jason already knew that his right leg was to be amputated the very next day. But in his selflessness and lovingkindness as a father and husband, he didn't share this heavy news until after the wedding. He wanted his beautiful girls and wife to be present for such a special day in their family. Even though Jason's heart ached and longed to be there. This is just one tiny example of the incredibly generous and thoughtful and selfless person Jason is.

During this current lengthy hospital stay, Jason has had open heart surgery to replace his aortic valve to battle a bacterial infection that had eaten away at his valve. He also had a surgery performed on his leg to remove what ended up being a piece of the bacterial vegetation that had traveled from his heart through his bloodstream; a surgery that occurred a few weeks ago.

He is still receiving dialysis for his kidneys in the midst of this. And the doctors are still monitoring the bleed on his brain from the stroke. They have been unable to address the bleed on his brain due to having to focus on life-saving measures: the open heart surgery, aortic valve replacement, and now the amputation of his right leg. So much to take in for him, for Sandy, for his girls.

It's hard to imagine how difficult such a road is. Not only is the emotional and physical toll hard, but another difficulty with this journey is the financial aspect. We asked GoFundMe for advice on the best way to collect support for this family during this new significant event and they recommended we begin a new fundraiser so it is clear what we have raised for them as they navigate this very difficult time right now.

Some of you may recall that about 2.5 years ago Jason had a medical event which resulted in him having his left leg amputated from the knee down. Thank you to all who have prayed for him and his family, and helped contribute to support them during that time. But keep praying, they need our help more than ever right now. Please rally around them in prayer, put them on your prayer lists and if you feel led please donate or at least share this fundraiser. All raised funds will go directly to Sandy.

I have to add that in the midst of all of this, Jason & Sandy's faith has never wavered. They remain fiercely strong in their faith and trust and confidence that God is good. Good to them, and truly is their Good Shepherd. He is with them, we've seen it with every miracle along the way.

Please don't stop believing and don't stop praying!

A note from Sandy:
Many have asked how to help monetarily. It’s hard to be in need of help and even harder to ask. We are thankful for the people of God that are praying and believing with us. VICTORY IS AHEAD, I BELIEVE IT! THIS IS WHERE WE ARE on top of all the other things..
We are struck down, but not destroyed!
PLEASE KEEP PRAYING , BECAUSE WE ARE BELIEVING FOR MIRACLES! “We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed; Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies.”
