Help the Hagen family pay some medical bills

My name is Kathy. I'm looking for some help for a very close friend and co-worker, Sarah Hagen and her family as they're going through a tough time right now and are facing mounding medical bills. I know it sounds cliche, but Sarah is one of the most caring, giving women I know. Now she and her family need some help.

Last October, Sarah's 9y/o daughter Makenzie started complaining of abdominal pains. The pain came and went but as time went on, the pain got worse and Sunday before Christmas she wound up in the ER at Children's with unbearable pain. Initial testing indicated probable Celiac disease but also possibly Crohns or ulcerative colitis. And so it began...

In trying to schedule follow-up appointments, Sarah realized that one of the docs that saw Kenzie at Children's was out of network. Bill #1. Upon finding an in-network physician, further testing was scheduled. The day before her scheduled appt, pre-procedure testing came back positive for Covid, but the testing was deemed urgent and went on as scheduled. Bill #2 , the anesthesia bill for said procedure is $4000.00. Kenzie also received monoclonal antibodies to treat her Covid. This is only the beginning.

Amidst all of this, husband Gerald first, and then Sarah tested positive for Covid. Gerald recovered fairly quickly. Sarah was not as lucky but is recovering and trying to get through the lingering fatigue which is keeping her from returning to work. And, of course, she's out of PTO.

Kenzie has more appts coming up hopefully with a final diagnosis and treatment plan. If the Crohns diagnosis is confirmed, treatment will be involve IV infusions and will probably be costly. Please consider helping Sarah and her family get through this difficult time. Thank you.
