Help the Hackenmueller Family through Ned's Treatment

Donation protected
Sweet Ned Carlo was born to Christy and Kevin Hackenmueller on February 26th, joining siblings Edith and Blaise. Shortly after birth, and thanks to early newborn screenings, he was diagnosed with Hurler's syndrome, which is the most severe form of MPS1. This is a condition where the body does not make enough enzymes to break down sugar molecules, leading to toxic buildup in the body and resulting in organ damage. The Hackenmueller family is so grateful that soon Ned will be able to undergo a bone marrow transplant at the University of Minnesota children's hospital, with his big brother, Blaise, being the transplant donor. This will greatly increase Ned's life expectancy. However, there will be significant costs associated with his treatment. These expenses include the transplant and subsequent 100 day recovery at the hospital, travel, food, and living expenses for the Hackenmueller family as they split time between Fargo and the U of M this summer, and continuing medical care for Ned moving forward.
Christy and Kevin have always been so generous to others, joyfully offering their time and resources to those in need. Please consider financially supporting them during this challenging time, and most of all, please pray for Ned and their whole family. Thank you!
