My name is Carol Grisso, and I live in Houston, Texas with my Mom and brother.

On November 21, 2025, my Mom was in a serious accident while coming home from dropping me off at work. She has some health issues and my brother is handicapped, so we do this so that they have a vehicle for doctors' appointments and whatever other places they need to go during the day.

A vehicle pulled over in front of her, and, despite her best efforts, she couldn't avoid the collision. She is now recovering, from the wreck injuries and a mild stroke suffered after the wreck, but thankfully she was able to get out of the truck on her own and is expected to recover.

Our truck-- a 1997 Chevy Silverado C3500 Crew Cab, fondly known as "Rawhide"--was heavily damaged and may be a total loss, only salvageable for parts. This truck was in excellent mechanical condition before the wreck. I do most of my own vehicle maintenance, taught by my late father, other relatives and many friends.

This truck was much more than just transportation; it was something we relied on every day and usually performed it's duties faithfully. I would like to rebuild it if possible, but I need to get it out of the storage lot soon. I'm the only one in the family who's currently working, so money was already tight before this happened....

The impact of this wreck goes way beyond the damage to the truck, Between medical care, recovery needs, the sudden loss of reliable transportation, and my brother and I having to find/fund alternate transportation, this has created a significant and unexpected financial strain.

Any contribution will help tremendously in easing this burden, as she works toward recovery and stability. All funds will go directly to where the need is greatest.
