Help the Griffin Family Rebuild After a Flood

Donation protected
My name is Mike, and I created this fundraiser with permission from the Griffins. The Griffins are a family I know through coaching volleyball, their small (but mighty) family consists of Hanna, Daniel, Carson their dogs and cat. Carson is their son. Carson did not give his permission, just mom and dad. Hannah coaches for the Hurricanes vbc and at High Point Christian, Daniel coache for the Hurricane vbc and is an account for a local builder.
On Friday night the Griffins whole world was turned upside down when they lost everything to a flood, Daniel told me if they hadn’t stayed up to watch one more episode that night they would’ve been in bed and couldn’t imagine how much more frightening that would be for themselves and Carson. Special thanks to Greensboro and Guilford county emergency services for rescuing them, I can’t imagine having to leave my house by boat in the middle of the night.
Daniel told me they do have flood insurance with a $1000 deductible so there’s that, but I can’t imagine being without a car (they will both probably be totaled Daniel tells me) and all the little things that are damaged or destroyed that won’t get replaced by insurance.

Please give whatever you can, and share this everywhere you can. The Griffins are part of the Greensboro/High Point community, nobody could anticipate this kind of loss or how long it will take to feel “normal“ again. Please share this post. Donate if you can pray if you can’t heck, pray, anyway…just please help this amazing family recover!

Please pray for Daniel, Carson, our pets, home, cars and me. Our home is flooded through, and we were evacuated via EMS. We were able to get Rocky and Ava and a couple bags, but we couldn’t find Trouble, and the water was over our floors. The cars were covered. We are with our awesome in laws who came to the edge of our neighborhood to get us out.
Update:
We noticed the water at 11:10, and we went into action. When we were brought out of the neighborhood by boat close to midnight, there was water coming into our house through the door, air vents, etc. We left before midnight last night and the water was still rising. We tried to get as much off the floor to a higher spot as possible before we had to leave and we grabbed enough stuff to get through the weekend. We don’t know when we will be allowed to get back to the house/when the water will go down enough for us to be able to get back into our neighborhood. Our cars, floors, yard, any items we didn’t get off the floor will likely be damaged and need replacement. We hope Trouble found herself a good tree and we told the EMS people she was missing. We are at Daniel’s parents’ house and we got a few hours of sleep. Carson was very impressed with the police men, BIG puddle, boat ride, and the glow stick the fireman gave him when they first showed up. Daniel’s parents, Daniel, Carson, and the pups were all troopers. This really sucks, but like we sang to Carson before tucking him in last night (the first time), God’s got it all in His hands. It’s under control. Trying to fathom what the next weeks will look like, and it’s definitely tough. But we know He is in control. Please keep praying. Primarily that Trouble is ok, insurance covers/replaces everything, and that nothing too important to us is damaged beyond repair or lost.
