Help the Grieving Wilkes Family
Donation protected
On February 22, 2021, David and Kimberlee's lives, along with their children Ethan, Hayden, Annabella, Zane and Alexander, were changed forever. With unusually cold temps in Texas in mid-February, ice formed on a pond near their place, which intrigued their son and brother, Chasin. He ventured onto the ice and fell through. In this tragic moment, God called this precious boy back to Himself in Heaven.
Chasin was one who loved easily- freely offering hugs to friend or family. He loved sweets! And liked movies such as Animal Crackers. He enjoyed learning about God through Bible Adventures and Konnect HQ. He loved and enjoyed his family. At the end of his physical life, Chasin was a hero and able to donate his corneas and heart valves. In the midst of this precious family's greatest loss they were able to give hope to others.
David and Kimberlee are members of large families, they are friends to many, and they are our brother and sister in Christ. They impact others with the light and positivity in their lifestyle. They have a heart for others. At this time of loss, we find ourselves hurting and aching with and for them. We want to do something tangible to support them. Kimberlee shared on one of her facebook posts how we could help. She shared the following suggestions to honor Chasin... help someone or perform random acts of kindness; actively love those around you by telling them and hugging them.
Thank God for all your blessings as even in the face of loss, God is good. Kimberlee's last suggestion was to thank a first responder. While we look for ways in our daily life to put these into practice, we can also support them financially. If you would like to give towards helping with expenses and for honoring Chasin in whatever ways they choose, please do so.
