Hello, we are now raising money for Hope and the kids at home while david is trying to heal in the hospital. Hope took david to the ER on august 4th when he was feeling very sick. The doctor examined and said he looked perfect and even told Dave he was Superman! August 5th around 3 A.M. David was admitted to the hospital after having trouble breathing. He was on oxygen for about 6 days before the doctors decided he needed to be put on a ventilator on august 11th. Ever since it’s been nothing but a rollercoaster for Hope, kids, and family. Doctor started him on antibiotics for bacterial - pneumonia right away. We get to FaceTime David everyday for about 15 min, sometimes longer if nurse will allow it. We talk to him tell him he’s ok, the kids sing all his favorite songs to him constantly, friends tell their favorite stories and so on. David is very very loved if only he could see all the people praying for him. On august 13th they let us know his kidneys weren’t functioning properly but that this was expected with covid patients, they got david started on dialysis. A few days later David’s machine got moved down to 60% with his pulse ox staying at 92%, this was the best news we had been given! A few days later the doctor said they cultured a multi drug resistant bacteria and started David on a very strong antibiotic. We got a new doctor on Monday August 16th he told us we are basically treating David for bacterial pneumonia and sepsis. He stated it’s going to be a long hard journey we just have to be ready for he up’s and downs. It was a hard battle but hope finally got to see David in person on August 15th and will get to do so for one hour a day until david is released. We need David’s lungs to heal so we can break him out of there and listen to all his funny stories. Keep praying for David and his wife Hope and 3 kids; Brooke, Brody and Britney.
