It is with a heavy heart and great sadness, that I am here to update this site.
Tim's test results on the tumor biopsy confirmed that it is Gladioblastoma (stage 4 aggressive brain cancer).
There is no cure. It is terminal, even with aggressive treatment.
After receiving information regarding treatment options, the side effects and the quality of life he would have, Tim has made the decision NOT to do treatments because it will not change the outcome.
The prognosis is less than 6 months.

Hi, My name is Michelle. Amanda is my sister and Tim is my brother-in-law. We are creating this fundraiser to help the family through this challenging time as they battle serious health issues and financial strain. Tim had emergency craniotomy surgery to remove most of a large tumor in his brain. Due to the sensitive location, they were not able to remove it entirely. There is a second tumor that remains as well. Once he heals from the surgery and the biopsy results are processed, doctors will discuss next steps for further treatments. Amanda has multiple health issues from large cysts on her liver. The cysts are compressing her bile ducts and blood vessels around the liver. She is also seeing a cardiologist because her heart is affected. She is waiting to be seen by neurology for an AVF in her brain. Amanda and Tim's oldest son, Jesse is struggling with severe agoraphobia and is being followed by their family doctor. Amanda, Tim and their son, Jonathan work at The Brew Pub in downtown Kingston. Their employers have been incredibly supportive with their leave from work. Losing two incomes from the family will be putting them approximately $2000/month behind, even with ODSP. The bills for rent, utilities, vehicle loan, insurance, etc are at risk of falling behind. The cost of groceries for a family of 4 adults, 2 cats and 2 dogs is a lot on their limited income. Not to mention the extra added expenses for trips to the hospital for parking fees, food on the go etc. They are a hard-working family who need our community to come together and support them through this difficult time.
