Help the Gouzoules Family Recover After a Terrifying Crash

Hi everyone,

My name is Kelly, bestie to Athena, and I’m reaching out on behalf of Athena and Samuel Gouzoules and their baby boy, Atlas, after they were involved in a traumatic car accident that has turned their lives upside down.

Just this past June, Athena and Samuel purchased a brand new car — a huge milestone for their growing family and their only means of transportation as two working parents. They had just started settling into a rhythm of life with their infant son when, while simply heading out to get groceries, their lives were shaken.

While the traffic flow was stopped at a highway exit, they were violently rear-ended by a driver under the influence going over 55 MPH. The impact was severe. They are incredibly grateful that the damage was not catastrophic, they are still dealing with the painful aftermath — physically, emotionally, and financially.

Their car, just a few months old, was badly damaged and is currently undriveable. As a single-car household, this loss has left them stranded without reliable transportation for work, medical appointments, and daily necessities.

In addition to the car repairs, both Athena and Samuel are now navigating injuries and the stress of recovery. Baby Atlas was thankfully secured in his car seat and is okay, but the seat must now be replaced immediately — a cost of over $500, as safety experts recommend replacing any car seat involved in a crash, even if it appears undamaged.
