I am Hannah Fletcher, I am Auntie to the Gosse family. I want to introduce you to the members of the Gosse family: Brandon Gosse and his wife Tiffany, and their 4 kids Luke, Bradlee, Hunter and Sophie.
I started this go-fund-me to help raise money to cover medical, travel expenses and loss of wages. As they are navigating the ups and downs that come along with caring for a very sick child.

Back in February 2024 Bradlee fell numerous times in under 5 minutes. Knowing that that was out of the ordinary for her 13 year son Tiffany rushed Bradlee to the Grande Prairie Hospital. Through a few days of testing the Medical staff were able to determine the cause of Bradlees's falls. It is a condition called Nephrotic Syndrome.

What is Nephrotic Syndrome? It is a Auto immune disease with a Kidney disorder that causes your body to excrete to much protein into your urine it also causes low albumin blood levels and high blood lipids. The condition causes fatigue, swelling, mainly in your eyes, feet and ankles, and increases the risk of blood clots. Only 5% of people with Nephrotic Syndrome developed blood clots. While there is no cure for Nephrotic Syndrome a way to treat it is through albumin infusions and other expensive medications. It is a life long condition that Bradlee will have to navigate.

The first month Bradlee was in and out of the hospital. The G.P. medical team worked hard to get his levels stable and remain stable so that he could stay home and get back to the life of a 13 year old. His Vitals where good one day and the tanked the next. That's were the Medical Team from the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton came in. On March 15, 2024 Tiffany and Bradlee drove down to meet their new medical team and what was supposed to be a routine meet the team turned into a full weekend of tests and Albumin infusions. These infusions help stabilize his oedema levels and regulate his protein levels and are needed twice per week.

Tiffany and Bradlee where at the G.P. Hospital for a routine albumin infusion on the 2nd of April when they where informed that the Stollery hospital would be calling them to schedule Bradlee in for an ultrasound and a possible biopsy. The biopsy would be needed to determine which type of Nephrotic Syndrome Bradlee has and to determine which treatment would be most beneficial. On April 7 Tiffany received the call for them to travel to the Stollery to get the tests done. On their way down Bradlee's left leg had swollen up to two times the size of his right leg. Once they got to the hospital Tiffany asked to speak with the Doctor as she believed the swelling in Bradlee's leg was due to a blood clot. The Doctor agreed. Bradlee was taken for testing to find the clot. The tests revealed that Bradlee had a full DVT- Deep vain thrombosis along with a bi lateral palmary embolism that is asymptomatic. After locating the clot Bradlee had under gone a Thrombectomy procedure. Which is a fairly new procedure. Making Bradlee The 3rd child in Canada, the first child in Alberta and the first child in Canada with Nephrotic Syndrome to under go that type of surgery.

While conducting the surgery Bradlee's medical team found that he also has May Thurner Syndrome which only 23% of Canadians have. May Thurners syndrome is where an artery crosses over a vain putting pressure on the vain restricting the blood flow. This along side the Nephrotic syndrome made the perfect environment for blood clots to form. Bradlee will be on blood thinners for the rest of his life.

Tiffany is not able to work as she is Bradlee's primary caregiver. She is currently at the Stollery Hospital with Bradlee as his amazing medical team works to stabilize his condition. Brandon is keeping the home fires burning while working and taking care of the other 3 kids! (Luke, Hunter and Sophie)

Through all of this Bradlee and his family are still smiling. They are taking one day at a time!
On behalf of the Gosse family we thank you for any and all donations.
