Help the Gonzalez family in recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Due to Hurricane Ian, the Gonzalez family has been put into some extremely unfortunate circumstances which lead to them losing their childhood home in Naples, FL, cars, belongings and family heirlooms. To add insult to injury, the amount that has been approved by the home owners insurance company falls short 100k of what they need to replace and repair their necessities. The requested amount being raised is only a fraction of what is actually needed but anything that we can donate to this wonderful family would be greatly appreciated. Of all the families I know, they are the least deserving of something so devastating. I have known this family since I was 8 years old, always welcoming me with open arms into their home, being the most kind hearted, hard working, giving, thoughtful people I’ve ever met. It is heart breaking to see everything they have worked for all their lives to be destroyed by this natural disaster. They remained positive and humble throughout this whole ordeal, sticking together and staying strong as a family. As their home was flooding and they had to evacuate by swimming in their waist deep flooded streets, leaving everything behind, they were led to multiple shelters, in hope they could find somewhere dry until the storm passed completely. Once they returned, the place they once called home was ruined and the only things salvaged were one rooms worth of items. Any bit of support that can be provided is helpful, even if it’s just sharing the link on your social media. My heart goes out to all the families that Hurricane Ian affected in such negatives way. We will recover together, as a community and as a family. Florida strong!
