Help the Glod Family Rebuild After Fire

We are reaching out to ask for your support for our neighbors, the Glod Family, who tragically lost their home when a fire erupted at approximately 11:15 pm Thursday, February 20, 2025, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Thank goodness they made it out safely. However, Pattie and Marks son tried to put the fire out and suffered burns on his feet.

This devasting fire has left them displaced and in desperate need of assistance to cover essential living expenses like housing, clothing and food while they begin the long process to rebuild.

The Glods are a resilient family who have survived and rebuilt their lives and coastal homes after numerous natural disasters.

• October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy with high force winds and storm surge completely destroyed their home. They tore down their home and rebuilt with 2 young children.

• After living in their house in Bonita Springs FL for 1 month, Hurricane Ian hit on September 28, 2022, with high forced winds and

unprecedented storm surge. Ian destroyed the 1st floor of their home and the roof. The rebuilding process was very slow due to funding, workers and materials. It was finally completed in December of 2023.

• 9 months after damages from Hurricane Ian were repaired, Hurricane Helene came barreling into the gulf coast of Florida on September 27, 2024. It brought high winds and storm surge into their first floor for the 2nd time in 2 years. They started the rebuild immediately on the first floor quickly getting all material including doors to complete the repairs.

• October 11, 2024, Hurricane Milton caused destructive storm surges again in all coastal communities. Unfortunately, the Glod family was affected once again. They lost all the materials that were purchased to repair their home after Helene and had to start over again. However, the repairs were in progress and moving along smoothly until the fire erupted the evening of February 20, 2025.

As you can see, they are strong, but we are asking for the support of friends, family and the community to help the Glod family rebuild their home and lives after this devastating fire.
