Help the Girma Family move forward

Hi, this is Penny Simpson, and I am Kathy Girma‘s sister.

Sadly, on 12/22/21 Kathy lost her husband of 31 years after an intense battle with Covid. Jonathan was a loving husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, and sibling to his brothers and sisters. He spent 4 1/2 weeks at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital in ICU, on a ventilator and receiving many treatments and interventions in an effort to restore him to health. He lost that battle on December 22. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to assist Kathy with covering medical expenses, funeral expenses, and meeting her household needs in the face of this unexpected loss. Though health insurance will cover some, the out-of-pocket expenses from Jonathan’s lengthy ICU stay and Memorial service will be taxing on a single income.
