Hello, my family, including my wife, son, and myself, desperately need to get our only transportation out of impound. Our car was unfortunately impounded because of an unpaid $2 toll fee that we never got the bill for because we are homeless and didn't receive it. When it was impounded, it was on the weekend, and that very next day, our insurance policy ended, so it was a perfect storm of needing funds to get it out. It's been sitting in impound for over 8 weeks, so in order to get it out, we need to pay the toll, which with late fees, etc., is up there now, past due insurance amount, pay to reinstate it, registration, excise tax, tow fee, and lot fee.

Every single day, trying to do everyday things, doctor appointments, etc., is an arduous task and involves a lot of walking, which in the dead of winter is sometimes unbearable. I hate asking for help, but we have tried what we can in our situation to no avail, and we don't want to lose the car. It's a 2015, and it's totally paid off with lots of life left in it. Anything at all would be very helpful, and if you don't mind passing it along to someone you know, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, the Gibbs family.

UPDATE: We got the impound yard to work with us and discounted the total fee making it that much closer to get. I want to thank everyone who has helped, it's very appreciated. We're almost there!
