The Getz Family lost everything when a fire destroyed their Montgomery Township home on Nov. 7, 2025. The homeowner, JoAnn Getz, had worked for the Montgomery School District for more than 30 years as an assistant teacher and a copy room clerk. She also sold tickets at every home basketball game and school play, worked in the cafeteria, and supervised after-school detention. She was everywhere.

JoAnn is now retired and bedridden. Her two sons, Chris and James (both Montgomery High School graduates), live with her to take care of her. The Montgomery News set up this page to help the family with their expenses during this difficult time. Please donate if you can.
