It's been nearly four years since our dear friend Sam suffered a tragic accident in July of 2018. After the accident, Sam had to have a portion of his skull removed to relieve pressure on his brain. The doctors expected to put his skull back on in 2020, but with Covid, that was unable to happen. In October of 2021, they were able to perform surgery to put his skull back on, but unfortunately, it got infected and had to be removed again.

With several setbacks along the way, Sam is still on the road to recovery. His parents, Vicki and Michael, have taken on the responsibility of full-time caregivers.

They have recently incurred several large expenses for medical equipment that will aid in Sam's recovery, as well as help him become more independent. These expenses include an electric chair and a device that will allow Sam to stand.

Sam's friends are putting this GoFundMe together to help alleviate the burden of some of these expenses.
