Last month The Geekiary’s bank account was accessed by scammers who drained our account right as we were paying all of our bills. As a result, we have massively overdrawn and fallen behind on our monthly payments. We’ve filed the appropriate reports with our bank in the hopes that we can recover some, if not all of these funds, but there is no guarantee that that will happen. In the meantime we continue to sit in the red and fall behind on our bills.

We recognize this comes at a time where many are falling on hard times themselves - the owner of this website is a SNAP recipient so we more than understand that situation - and we know there are many worthwhile charities that deserve your donations right now. However, if you can spare some money towards our recovery as we try to get back on track after this fraud incident, we would be incredibly appreciative of any support to help us continue to be a vocal platform that highlights LGBTQ+ and other marginalized voices in the geek sphere - a cause we hold dearly to our hearts, especially with the current sociopolitical wave rising against such opinions.
