Hello
A few weeks ago my husband, Mitch
had been feeling horribly sick so I
brought him to Kaiser In Ontario where we found out he was having a heart attack. They transferred him to a hospital with cardiac capabilities closer to our homeIn Rancho Cucamonga at San Antonio Hospital in Upland, CA.
There he was treated for a two large vessel occasions in major arteries in his heart needing two stents. He was in ICU for a few days because the doctors said he suffered a major heart attack and was transferred to a step down unit where he received required physical therapy and time regulate the new medications he would be required to be on after discharge.
He was discharged on Sunday July 5th and we are faced with the daunting fact that all the hospital bills will be coming soon.Mitch lost his job last fall, and I just lost my job in June. When we applied for emergency Medi-Cal at the hospital they denied us for the month of June as we were receiving my last check at my previous employer. Medi-Cal stated they won’t coverthe hospital stay for the month of June when Mitch had went in the hospital.
We have almost been married for 30 years and this completely shook me to my core at first at the thought of possibly losing my husband, and after the thought of losing our home to cover these medical bills.
Anything would help, I mean anything! His prescriptions are very pricey and now he is required to wear a life vest that will be required for him to wear 24/7. All this equipment that he NEEDS requires so much money.
Thank you so much for taking your time to read this and from our family to yours we wish you all the best in this tumultuous time.
Sheila, Mitch’s Wife
