After 12 years at our rented home, we're being forced to move out as a result of active flooding and mold issues beyond our ability or authority to control or address. The cause of the flood, while not confirmed, has only worsened and we've had no success getting it addressed. The flooding, resulting from what we believe to be a leak in a wellhouse downhill onto the land we're on, has been going on for over a month and a half. Our attempts to get it addressed have gone unsuccessful. This and the prospect of having to make a move we cannot afford has all been incredibly stressful and left us feeling pretty desperate.

The flooding into the home has gone on for, (as of 9/9/24) just shy of three weeks; resulted in significant and quick mold growth. Though efforts are being taken to mitigate the damage there's no end in sight. This has left us bouncing between feeling hopeless and helpless as we struggle to make a move we cannot afford and search for a place which we can afford. The problem is, this has been a little too sudden. We're in a rough financial spot and just not prepared to handle the expenses of a move.

We're trying not to go into debt that cannot be managed in the process of getting out of a home which is humid, musty and already molding. Hoping to move into a new place we've gotten an eye on very soon, any and all donations toward the costs of moving will come in handy. We're at the end of our rope and unable to have the original problem, (much less all of its consequences) addressed. Anything you can pitch in will help and you'll have our gratitude, far more than you can imagine.
