We’re a young family with two little ones (both under 5), and we recently discovered a pretty serious issue in the only full bathroom in our home. What started as a few mold spots around our shower turned out to be much bigger… water damage behind the tiles, mold growing inside the walls, and failing plumbing that’s slowly corroding.

This bathroom is our family’s only place to bathe and shower, and right now it’s just not safe. I have asthma, and lately, my symptoms have been getting worse. Our kids both have sensitive skin, one with eczema, and they’ve started having more flare-ups since this issue began. We’ve tried cleaning and patching, but it’s beyond what simple fixes can handle.

We’re trying to do the repairs ourselves to save on costs since my husband has a little bit of experience in carpentry, but materials alone are adding up quickly. Between replacing the damaged walls, treating the mold, updating the plumbing, and rebuilding the shower area, we’re facing expenses we just can’t manage all at once… especially right before the holidays.
