Help the Gardner Family After Tragic Accident

Hello my name is Patricia Gardner.... i truly appreciate you taking the time to read our story. My family and I have been completely blindsided by a really terrible car accident. Devin Gardner 32 years old and our youngest son Jordan Gardner 12 years old were in a car wreck July 27th at approximately 5:30am.

They had left the house around 2:00am here in Oklahoma to leave to Alabama to go visit family , at 3:58 Jordan had face timed me they had stopped in Ozark , Arkansas to stop and get gas and snacks . They were having the best time they were so happy laughing playing jokes on each other. Getting ready to finish the other half of their trip .

I get a call from the state trooper of which who had found our son Jordan walking down I-40 , he noticed he had scratches and cuts all over him , Jordan had then proceeded to tell the officer that he was in a car wreck and that he needed help finding his dad , started pointing and trying to give all the information he could . Our son had walked 2 miles in pitch black trying to flag people down and get help . No one ever stopped to help him they just kept calling it in . I can only imagine how scared my baby was he was fearless that night and all he cared about was saving his dads life and getting help .

luckily with all the help and more officers showing up they were able to help locate Devin, he had been ejected from the vehichle and he was not in good shape . In which caused very serious injuries . He was then Medi flighted to a near by hospital, and then from there Medi flighted to another hospital and required multiple surgeries right away . He's had a surgery almost everyday since the accident .

I was in route to go get Jordan from the hospital and found out that he was completely okay , a few cuts and bruises and shaken up but he was going to make a full recovery. So i picked Jordan up and got them some food and was then on our way to where Devin was , and unfortunately luck was not on our side and my cars radiator cracked and we were stranded on the side of the road , from there I had to call a tow truck and waited for an hour an a half . He showed up and got my car to a local Walmart. I had to call my sister to come get us she was still over 6 hours away so we had stayed there in my car till she got there . She finally got there around 4:30pm . We then went ahead and went to the hospital where Devin was at. We were not able to see him that day because he was still going through multiple surgeries . We found out he had multiple broken bones , amongst several other internal injuries. They sedated him and put him on a ventilator and was able to keep in stable through the night . He had a few more surgeries the next few days. And is now recovering !

He has a very long road to recovery but i know he has a very strong support system and we will get him where he should be in the mean time we are going to hurt financially and were going to need all the help we can get . We are a family of 6. Devin and I and we have 3 teenage girls and Jordan our 12 year old little hero . Devin would not be here today if it wasn't for Jordan being brave and walking so far to try to get help .
